No, I re-invited it and it says it is already in. In fact I set up a second poll without the add choice option and it is working, Trouble is the people who see the first poll which I don't dare remove are getting a bit annoyed that it is not updating. I am wondering whether it is some sort of character limit because if I do the same poll without the Add choice option it seems to work.

Bot messages in Slack have a limit, but the message in your message isn't too large. I will forward it to my tech team and hopefully we will figure it out

While I am here is there a way to stop a poll if you haven't set a finish time?

Hi @Rika Kobayashi yes, as an admin, you can run /botimum command, and select the poll you want to close -> hit “Close” button to stop it

? /botimum just creates poll. And it doesn't seem to work. It still looks the same despite saying "Poll closed. Reopen?" Must it be deleted?

If it doesn’t work, properly something goes wrong with the message size limit, it would be better to delete instead.

No. and Add Choice still active (but not working)

It looks like the bot couldn’t update the message anymore, probably because of the message size limit. Would you try to delete the poll?

What is the message size limit? And what is weird is when it hit it, not only did it not add choices but it stopped voting. It would be good if it froze adding choices before reaching limit and allow voting to continue with what is there, It looks like another feature request would have to be restrict number of choices that can be added.

Slack allows upto 40k characters which is still quite large in compare to your message. It would also be something else that our tech team needs to investigate. I will get back to you as soon as I got a feedback from the team.

Also, regarding the above it doesn't look like I can delete the Botimum messages. Is there a way to do that? I am a workspace owner and can delete Slackbot messages but the Delete Message option doesn't come up for Botimum

You can use the “Delete” button from the admin panel as you can see here

So I can't delete the messages without deleting the poll?

Unfortunately, there's a lot of activity in the thread so I don't want to delete the poll until the other poll is over (7 hrs time)

So I deleted the Poll but it is still there (and the messages are still there) and active but now gives a Poll is 'invalid' message when voted on.

Extra information I forgot to mention was that the channel was "general" which is the only channel you can set only Admins to write to. I added Botimum as a "writer" but that was after the poll had started.

Hi @Ciarán Bodenham, it’s used as a main/fallback timezone. It sends personal messages/stand-up prompts in personal timezone
