"I think we should render messages in the thread separately (even if they are from the same user) and add a possibility for the user to merge them together (just like threads).
Right now it is unclear when the user posted the message.

We can keep them separate with a time separator. Before this change users would type one word responses and 10 of those would take up the entire screen. It wouldn't look clean and wasn't really efficient to read

Just for transparency, we ended up keeping it as is but adding a timestamp when you hover over a message.

We should also add a tiny space and a hover state.
